There are moments in an artist’s journey when you realize you’ve reached the end of something—not because you’re finished, but because you’ve become someone different along the way.
For me, that moment happened in Tokyo.
After taking Portals of Light across the world to Japan, I came back to the U.S. completely exhausted.
Balancing a full-time job while building NOYRALAND, creating an international exhibition, traveling, producing, promoting, and doing everything on my own finally caught up with me. For the first time, I felt truly lonely in the process.
It reminded me of something I sometimes forget:
I can only do so much. I can only carry so much on my own.
At one point, I was al borde del desquicio—on the edge of falling apart.
But I chose light.
I chose to show up.
I chose strength.
I’m not done yet.
A Journey That Began in Tokyo
What makes the ending of Portals of Light especially meaningful is where it began.
The collection first emerged in Tokyo in 2025, and now, its final exhibition took place in that same city at Mexikano 5.0.
Between those two moments, the work traveled through three places that have deeply shaped me as an artist:
Hermosillo, Mexico 🇲🇽
San Francisco, USA 🇺🇸
Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵
Pieces were created, transformed, carried across borders, and eventually placed in front of an international audience.
There couldn’t have been a more meaningful way to complete this era.
Portals of Light Is Officially Closed
Portals of Light was always about resilience, transformation, and finding your way toward something brighter.
But creating it taught me something I didn’t expect: sometimes the light isn’t found by pushing harder.
Sometimes it’s found by stopping.
By listening.
By allowing yourself to rest long enough to understand what comes next.
So after Tokyo, I went quiet.
I returned to the studio and gave myself space to process everything this era had carried.
To everyone who visited the exhibition, collected a piece, wore my art, shared my work, or supported this collection from anywhere in the world:
Thank you.
You carried this vision across oceans, and I will never take that for granted.
The North Star Era
These past few weeks, I’ve been back in the studio, quietly listening to a new frequency—one that first revealed itself to me in a dreamlike state.
Something different is emerging.
Something more directional.
Something that feels less like searching for the light…
and more like knowing where to look.
The North Star Era has begun. 💫
